CFE AND SRNE PRODUCT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q1. Inverter showing error 58?
This is BMS error code. When there is no communication cable, disable BMS function i.e. parameter 32 to SLA.
Q2. Inverter not charging battery?
Check parameter 07 for charge current as it may be on 0 Amps. If problem still appears after changing it, contact the supplier as there might be damage of the internal components.
Q3. Inverter parallel synchronization not working?
Set parameter 31 to PAL and make sure current sharing cables are inserted as in the manual. If problem persists, contact the supplier as it could be an issue of different firmware or inverter IDs.
Q4. How do I toggle the CFE 5100S battery dip switch settings?
SW1, SW4 and SW5 are for battery BMS communication with the inverter. SW2 and SW1 are for parallel and series dialing between batteries. Refer to the manual.
Q5. What are the correct charge parameters for CFE 5100S battery?
To avoid problems set float voltage to 53.6V, Charge voltage to 54V, Low cut-off voltage to 46.4. A better recommendation would be to use BMS communication.
Q6. How do I enable BMS communication between battery and inverter?
The dip switches differ with different inverters. For CFE 5100S and SRNE, SW1: 3&4 up, SW4:8up and SW5: 7up. After this, allow BMS communication on inverter. Use RS485 cable.
Q7. Battery is quickly discharging?
Do a load profile analysis. If the battery capacity is rated say 4800Wh and the load is on 480W, the battery should last approximately 9-10hrs on battery. If not, contact the supplier.
Q8. Battery not charging with PV
Assess the load profile and total PV array output. The PV output power should be higher than the peak load power to allow battery charging. To clear this error, you may need to switch off some non-essential loads during the day to allow battery charging or increase PV array.
Q9. Battery not switching on?
This may be a case of blown fuse or BMS error. Contact the supplier. Do not open the battery. For CFE 1280S it may be over-discharged. To avoid this make sure that when discharged, battery is charged within a week.
Qn: Two high voltage SRNE 500VDC connected in parallel and showing error [15]
Error 15: Inverter over-current(hardware detection)
Description: During battery inversion, the hardware detects that this condition is triggered 3 times in a row within 5s.
Sln: Manual reset: Reduce the load power and restart the device.
Automatic reset: When over-current no longer occurs, the device will automatically reset within 5 min,
Qn: Two high voltage SRNE 500VDC connected in parallel and showing error [08]
Sln: Manually power off and restart.
Check whether the battery voltage is too high, causing the busbar voltage to be too high when the boost is completed.
If you are using HFP series, test whether the parameter item [31] is set to SIG ,and whether the output is connected in parallel with otherĀ power supply unit
